I started skiing when I was 16 years old on Taylor Lake in Houston, TX. I love all water sports and have been living and skiing on Lake Austin for 25 years. I started competing in 1985. Skiing in tournaments has given me the opportunity to meet lots of great people, travel to fun places, and sharpen my skills. I'm the 11 time winner of the South Central Barefoot Championship in my age divison and the 2001 and 2006 winner of the Men's 4 National Barefoot Championship. I'm also a member of the 2008 Lake Austin Dam to Dam Barefoot Race winning team.

In addition to competing, I'm passionate about staying connected with other skiers and helping people learn to ski. I'm an officer for the Austin Barefoot Ski Club and I instruct at ski clinics for kids and adults around Texas. I have taught family, friends, and kids of family and friends to ski for 20 years, and I have high-quality equipment available for all water sports.
